A highly regarded plaintiff-side employment firm in El Segundo (known for recovering over $200 million on behalf of employees and securing successful PAGA trial verdicts) is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team. Compensation: $120,000 - $220,000 DOE | Annual Merit Raises | Discretionary Year-End Bonus

Your Role

The practice is approximately 90% wage and hour class actions and PAGA matters, with 10% individual employment cases, including wrongful termination and FEHA claims.

  • Handle full-cycle employment litigation in both state and federal court, including court appearances, depositions, mediations, drafting, and settlement agreements
  • Manage written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
  • Draft motions, oppositions, and supporting briefs across a range of employment matters
  • Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and court appearances
  • Manage individual employment matters, including wrongful termination and FEHA claims
  • Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues in a supportive, team-oriented environment

Your Credentials

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school and active admission to the California State Bar required
  • 2-6 years of employment litigation experience; wage and hour and/or PAGA experience strongly preferred
  • Strong command of California employment law and litigation procedures
  • Plaintiff or defense backgrounds considered; general civil litigators with transferable experience are encouraged to apply
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Professional, collegial, and client-focused, with a growth-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
